Bed wetting and herbal therapy

Posted by admin on November 30th, 2008

A few years back my son was wetting the bed , he was 8 years old then, and frequently wet the bed. It was frustrating, my first instance was to scold him and criticize him for wetting the bed, something I should have never done because later it would make him self conscious and sometimes the stress it created was worse on him than the actual bed wetting. Vinegar and its amazing properties

Posted by admin on November 27th, 2008

A month or so ago I went on a bit of a diet not so much to lose some weight but I just kind of felt run down. I figured since I had not been eating right that had a lot to do with the way I felt. Many times diet is a huge factor in how we feel throughout the day. I normally do not eat a big breakfast , just enough to get my metabolism going. Read the rest of this entry »

Kill that cough

Posted by admin on November 22nd, 2008

There is nothing that is more irritating than a cough either from a dry throat , or common cold, especially after the body is recovering from a severe cold or the flu , in the past I would just drop in to the convenience store and buy some halls or wretched cough medicine until I started reading the crap that syrup contains, it dawned on me one day when one of my kids was ill and I started reading the label on the cough syrup and I said , no way am I giving this to my kid. Flu and cold season

Flu and cold season

It has already started, people around me are coughing, sneezing and have sore throats and the rest of the inconveniences that come with the cold weather, I rarely get sick, and people ask what do you do to avoid getting sick in the cold and flu season, avoid people ? absolutely not.

I take some basic principles in to practice, number one any kind of sickness is usually do to a low immune system and lack of rest , many people are stressed this time of the year , its bad enough in  this economic crunch, it  has affected many of us, but now the holiday season is upon us you are probably stressing over that Holiday dinner you have to serve or gifts for the kids, the list goes on and on. A little info about me

Posted by admin on November 16th, 2008

I have written a small post in the  about section on this blog, but I guess I will introduce myself in this section anything healthy or not ? I am far from being a health nut but I try to eat well and exercise when I can. When I was a teen I had huge bouts with tonsillitis.  Every winter it seemed it just about killed me. I was prescribed antibiotics and other medicines that I feel after time contributed to my poor immunity. Once I realized the damage that the medicines and antibiotics had cause my body, I quit taking any kind of medication with the exception of a simple aspirin here and there, its been 20 years now and I rarely get a cold and knock on wood have maintained good health.

When I do become under the weather I always use an herbal alternative to cure whats ailing me, unfortunately I believe the pharmaceutical industries have caused more harm with chemical medications often because they treat one symptom but create another , this site is for people looking for alternative cures to just about anything including the common cold, acne, hypertension and more , so feel free to post your comments and or experiences that you may have had with alternative medicines.

You will have to excuse my poor grammar as I guess spell checkers only can do so much but although I was born in the U.S I was raised in Mexico and well lets say my English grammar is not the best, so if my bad grammar bothers you I am always looking for proof readers :-)

As always I gues I have to say this .. please consult your doctor or phisician before considering an herbal alternative or herbal supplement.

Best Wishes

Jeff
