Week seven continues
My Personal weight loss March 25th, 2009So my weight loss success continues, well sort of, after coming back form the beach I have gotten kind of lazy the time change or daylight savings time does it to me, plus once the weather gets a bit warmer it makes me lazy so for 2 days now I have only walked one of them, This morning I decided to get up and hit the weights, in case I have not mentioned my age before I just turned 43 and used to be an avid weight lifter and loved to go to the gym, but with family and all the activities in a day like work getting the kids to school it can be rough trying to stay in shape, unless you have the money for a personal trainer.
In seven weeks I have lost a total of 7 pounds which is not bad, a pound a week in fact it was not so embarrassing taking my shirt off although I still am carrying around a bit of a stomach its definitely less than what I had.
So back to my routine, this week I decided to start a routine weight training regimen, allthough I like to walk or jog in the morning I amd not going to put pressure on myself, if I cant get up early enough I am going to do it in the evening when I get home. I am not going to stress on heavy weights just light weights with 25 to 50 repetitions and 4 or 5 sets using no more than 10 maybe 15 pounds I am going to try this for about 2 weeks and see what kind of results I get, one of the benefits of ligth weights is at least days when my energy levels are low I will still look forward to getting some muscle tone, plus I am switching hings around totally changing what my body is used to doing.
