Its only a couple of weeks before approaching the summer season which means, a possible trip to the beach or lounging around the pool, or any other outdoor activity. Many people are still lagging around those extra pounds from the winter, and with it being hotter outside that extra weight can really be unconformable.

There are a few common sense things that can be done to help lose those extra pounds, many people will look for that quick weight loss fix, like  proactol, acai berry or even start going to weight watchers, or buying in to that Jenny Craig program. This is all fine and dandy, but these are not cure all solutions, and although they can compliment your weight loss, sometimes we need to do just a few simple things to drop a few extra pounds.

Exercise – Try not to be lazy make a comitment in the morning or evening a brisk walk  in the park for a half an hour or 30 minutes on a stationary bike, anything to get the blood flowing and circulating trough your body, you will not only lose weight you will relieve a bit of stress also.

Food – there are some really easy and basic foods the body can do without and you don’t have to eliminate them all together, but try to eliminate starchy foods especially white breads and pastas, stick to whole wheat products. Avoid foods that contain hydrogenated oils, many foods like mayonnaise, salad dressings and processed foods contain hydrogenated oils which are bad for you, mainly because the human body does not know what to do with them.

Alcohol – Here we go again most people will tell you stick to one or two drinks a day which is fine, we are not saying to go get hammered, but many times you can enjoy three or four drinks, if and when  you sacrifice something else, the bottom line is caloric intake, me personally  like to enjoy a few glasses of wine at dinner and skip dessert.

Everyones metabolism is a bit diferent but making just a few simple lifestyle changes and really watching what you eat can help you lose a few pounds for the summer you will not only feel better but also look better.
