While supplements are often generalized there are many types on the market

Vitamin supplements

Mineral supplements are often overlooked but also provide important nutrients for our bodies, mineral supplements include Zinc, Iron, Selenium, copper, Magnesium and Calcium.

Herbal or botanical supplements

Herbal and botanical supplements are probably some of the more popular supplements as they are used for weight loss , controlling cholesterol and diabetes, high blood pressure and can even improve things such as erectile dysfunction in men and decrease menopausal symptoms in women.

Many of these have claims of working, but the end user has to be the ultimate judge, although many make large claims most of them do work But like anything else there is no miracle drug, thats whay they are called supplements because they do just that, they aide us and can help our overall quality of life.

I agree that food supplements are not waste of money because we just cant rely on our every day meals to provide us exactly all the nutrients that our body needs.
